Prime Minister Avdullah Hoti has declared that maybe now we might be surprised that about three months ago we have a normal government. Meanwhile, analyst Faton Abdullah writes:
Why can't Hoti Government be normal under abnormal circumstances?
A friend of mine, praising Chief Minister Hoti, said he never went to work with bodyguards, sometimes even these days. His attempt was to interpret Mr. Hoti and his rule as normal and the normal prime minister himself could easily be prime minister of Sweden. Indeed, so did Mr. Hoti days ago hinting that they are calm, quiet, and diligent, not like the troubled, aggressive Kurti Government. Maybe someone can draw such conclusions and make them look right and true when Government Hoti today is compared to that Kurti yesterday who was totally normal in no segment. But there's something else here. If we compare Hoti Government to abnormal circumstances in many segments of Kosovo, the behavior and abnormal governance of Hoti is completely unnatural. It's normal, this government and the prime minister, as long as we're not normal in our circumstances. They're not normal because there's a lot of crime, corruption, misuse, big mistakes, multiple impasses, etc., etc. A government that doesn't respond to all these flows to stop or minimize them, to fight them unstopperably, only she, to herself, can pretend to be normal. In fact, it's not normal, but hesitation, it's not normal but bypass, it's political fears, which are supposed to be sold as normal, Swedish citizenship, and all of this in the place where crime and misuse boils. With this normality, this government casts eclipse dust, crime, corruption and misuse. The government that fights crime, its chief governor must be heavily and unstoppablely protected by bodyguards from criminals because thieves are affected by vital interests. They retaliate, and they need protection. Otherwise what is happening now as long as crime and corruption continues, it is not fought, it is increasingly spoken of, and thus co-exists corruption in silence and normal governance and normal prime minister.
