He estimated that this act is undoubtedly contrary to the European achievements of civilization, even contrary to regulations adopted by Pristina itself, reports B92.
President Vuciq announced that, for this reason, at the next meeting in Brussels, Serbia will ask representatives of Pristina and European mediators to stop urgently and permanently construction work in the protected area of the Decani Monastery, Telegrafi broadcast.

“The protection of Serbian cultural and religious heritage in Kosovo is a priority of our state policy, and we are willing to form a special team together with the Serbian Orthodox Church for the protection of our sacred sites é the Serbian, cultural and historical heritage and Christian”, Vuciq said.
He stressed that works near the monastery, Serbia perceives them as a means of pressure. Serbia seeks, according to Vucinqi, a productive dialogue to have a minimum trust relationship and a peaceful climate.
I expect the EU to make clear and strong pressure on Pristina to stop the campaign of endangering Serb shrines, because they are, in addition to shrines, at the same time valuable monuments of European Christian culture, and any attack on them is an attack on the foundations of European values”, the Serbian state stressed.
Otherwise, we remember that US presidential adviser for Kosovo-Serbia talks Richard Green has warned that officials from both states will meet on September 2nd in Washington.
