Interior Minister Agim Veliu has said he is completing information about the Serbian gendarmerie's entry into Kosovo territory and then will report to MPs at the Commission for Security or even at the session. At a meeting with Peja Chairman Gazmend Muhhazier, Veliu has also warned a meeting of the National Security Council.
“I'm completing the information on the whole of what happened in Karace, I have a meeting with KFOR commander with whom I've discussed the situation and I've got the direct information from him, we're expecting a meeting of the Council of National Security in which we will discuss the situation created and what has happened in Karace, and after completing all the information I will surely report to the parliamentary commission, but if necessary in the Republic of Kosovo Framework>, Veliu said at a news conference.
He said there's no information yet on the invitation for interference.
Veliu has said KFOR commander has accepted his request for Kosovo police to patrol and synced with KFOR in that area, but has remained to be discussed for action with the KP director.
“At a meeting with KFOR commander I have requested that the same patrols be synchronized and others as they do with Serb forces be done with the Kosovo Police, the KFOR commander has gladly accepted my request and has remained to be discussed with the police director for details of action”, he said.
Days earlier, Veliu had called it routine and synchronized with KFOR forces the entrance of the Serbian gendarmerie into the village's territory of Karacheva to Kamenica.
