The newest research, done by a group of researchers from the Edith Cowan University in Australia, shows that the main green vegetables are very important, especially for the health of blood and heart vessels.
These extremely healthy vegetables include green salads, brocolls, and flowers.
Researchers observed a group of 684 elderly women, whose average age was 75. Using a questionnaire about their feeding, women reported how many vegetables they consumed over the past 12 months, focusing on how often they ate brocoli, green cabbage, and floret.
The results showed that women ate more of these vegetables, had far fewer blocked arteries and heart problems compared with those that had not consumed these vegetables.
According to tests, people who eat more than 45 grams a day of vegetables had 46% less chance of developing artery calcium and heart problems.
