Turkey to begin testing local missile engines in space

Turkey's President Recep Erdogan said Sunday that his country would start testing local missile engines in space.

We will also continue our efforts to develop hybrid-power rocket engines”, he added.

Erdogan said Turkey does not tolerate any lack of co-ordination in the defence industry. “in particular, we never accept products from abroad that can be done in our country. We have brought back to life our defence industry, which was close to paralyzing”, he said.

According to him, the company “Roketsan” has developed technology for hydrogen use, which is a clean source of energy and is applied in space, aviation and transport sectors.
