Kosovo President Hashim Thaci has been commemorating 11 members of the Aslan family from the Sandowment Race on the 22nd anniversary of their Maccabre murder by Serb criminal forces.
On August 26, 1998, Serbian forces killed eight children and three women of the Aslan family in the village of Rzac in the Shtime municipality. Today, 22 years after, the memory is unforgettable and the pain for the Aslan family continues to be the same, because no one has been convicted of this crime at”, writes Thaci on Facebook.
On August 26, 1998, Serbian forces killed 11 members of the Aslan family, of whom 8 were children of various ages and three women.
In this painful event they have lost their lives: Jalldyze Aslan (1934), Halide Asllani (1963), Ayse Aslan (1971), Burim Aslan (1985), Lumnije Aslan (1986), Ejup Aslani (1988), Luljet Aslan (1991), Shpend Aslan (1993), Jafer Asllani, (1995), Antigona Aslani (1997) and Albia Asllani (1998).
The dire day in this village by Serbian forces was also executed by 96-year-old Prime Minister Zeqir Aslan.
