Russian media have attended the event and the debate over Belgrade's intention to buy weapons from China, and some have openly expressed their disappointment.
In some Russian media there are titles and conclusions that “Serbia chose FK-3 instead of S-300 Russian”.
Russian media write that in June 2020, Russian state news agency TASS, calling to military-diplomatic sources, has announced that Russia has sent Serbia the 300 complex's orders application PM-2 for 2021. Although official Belgrade had not confirmed this information, some Russian media consider it accurate.
In terms of Serbia's decision to purchase the Chinese KK-3 system, Russian media have also promoted the director of the Centre for Strategic and Technological Analysis, Ruslan Pukhov.
He believes China has offered Serbia more convenient conditions for the purchase of the Chinese system, since the Russian system S-400 is not a free system and questions the Chinese system, which is a copy of the Russian system S-300.
Pukhov also questions the sincerity of Serbian leaders, he says the mood of the Serbian political elite is very contradictory. Part of the Serbian elite sees Serbia's future with the West.
For the end, he criticises Serbia and says it must be determined -- that is, to line up with the West or Russia.
If you want it to go west, then you have to arm it with standard NATO weapons, while if you want reports with Russia then you have to buy military equipment from Russia”, Pukhov says.
Serbia's president, Aleksandar Vucic, had declared in December last year that Serbia had abandoned S300 and S400 orders and systems, following many speculations in the Russian and Serbian media, prompted by officials' statements in which the algorithm that such a system could be subject to agreement between the two states.
The renowned Russian portal Lenta.ru writes that the penetration of the FK-3 system on the Serbian market is precious to China, as such antiaircraft protection systems China had managed only to equip Beijing's Asian allies.
