Lebanon's president said investigations into the warehouse explosion in Beirut have failed to determine whether it was caused by negligence, an accident or possible external intervention.
Michel Aoun told local media that “cause has not yet been specified”, the allyzeera reports.
“There is the possibility of external intervention with a rocket, bomb or another” act, Aoun said, broadcast Telegrafi.
He said that the investigation into the warehouse blast, where much explosive material was located, is under way at three levels.
“S first, as it entered and stored explosive materials ... second, if the explosion was the result of negligence or an accident ... and third, the possibility of having external effects”, he said.
Otherwise, state authorities have confirmed that more than 150 people have passed away so far and more than five thousand people have been injured.
