Mustafa told Gazeta Express that there should be consultation and reconciliation of all including the president, prime minister, ruling coalition parties and opposition to the agreement for mutual recognition between Kosovo and Serbia.
The LDK chief has said the dialogue under way in Brussels is political and the role of Prime Minister Avdullah Hoti cannot be taken.
“No one replaces and does not take on the prime minister's role in dialogue. But it is impossible for the Prime Minister to discuss everything and all phases. Dialogue is political, even the topics discussed at the level of the state co-ordinator are political, not technical”, Mustafa has said.
Mustafa has also talked about the visit of State Coordinator Skender Hyseni to the White House and the State Department.
The first of the LDK said it appreciates the invitation to Hyseni and that without US participation there is no final agreement with Serbia.
I share the thought that there is no agreement without their active participation in this process. Not only will Kosovo consult closely with the US, but it expects the US will be at the dialogue table. That's why I appreciate the invitation the State Department made to Mr. Hyseni and his visit to Washington”, Mustafa said.
Mustafa has also indicated that there should be close consultation and reconciliation of Kosovo political acts for the agreement with Serbia.
The “Agreement can only be reached with close consultation of the prime minister, president, subjects of the ruling coalition and opposition. I speak of container consultations, reconciliation, not just for informing”, he said.
Days earlier, LDK deputy Haxhi Avdyli had said dialogue on the level of experts led by State Co-ordinator for Dialogue Skender Hyseni is taking place in Serbia's interest.
Asked how you view such statements by LDK members, Mustafa said it is ignorance and folly to think that dialogue is developing in Serbia's interest, even saying that those who speak thus are not LDKACE people.
Must someone say the dialogue is developing in Serbia's interest and for the degeneration of the state of Kosovo is folly and ignorance. You don't want to get over any news that goes off, when you don't know who's going off and what's going on. People who speak this way are not of the LDK, because those who act against LDK decisions and positions and do not trust their people -- screme why we consider them to be LDK”, Mustafa has said.
The LDK chief said he does not hope in an agreement in the fall of this year, but that dialogue should continue.
I am not one of those hoping for a quick deal, in autumn of this year, but I consider that dialogue should be developed and not stopped for a mutual recognition agreement”, Mustafa said.
On 16 July, Prime Minister Avdullah Hoti and President Alexander Vuciq have resumed dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia after 20 months of interruption.
Hoti and Vuciq met in Brussels in the EU mediation, namely High Representative for Foreign Policy Josep Borelli and EU Special Envoy for Dialogue Miroslav Lajcak.
After the meeting at the leadership level, the two states continued talks on the level of experts represented by Skender Hyseni and Marko Djuric on the topics of the unknown and the economy.
The upcoming meetings between Kosovo and Serbia in Brussels have been warned in late August and September.
