The images where Belarus's president, Alexander Lukashenko, appears armed by the army, while the people have staged protests against him, have taken the world's lap.
But what is even more special is the kind of weapon that President Belarus holds in his hand.
This is a weapon that was dear to him even the former leader of Al Qaeda, Osama bin Laden and former head of I SIS, Abu Bakr al-Bagdad.
The AKS-74U weapon produced in the Soviet Union is a different option than the AK-74 model used extensively by military forces worldwide, the SHQIP writes.
The specialised AKS-74 was first produced in 1979 and is less powerful and less accurate than AK-74.
The AKS-74U is about half of the length of AK-74 and has become like a personal weapon for self-defence, especially for the armoured personnel crews, who needed a gun with more force piercing than a small pistol. As such it is easier to use.
But why did Lukashenko choose such a weapon?
The answer can be found in Lucashenco's experience in the army, where in 1980 he served at a Soviet division and, according to the REL, he could carry just such a weapon.
This may be a message he still sees from Russia, while the entire Western world opposes him and does not recognise the outcome of the election's end.
