Former Prime Minister Albin Kurti has commemorated the symbol of Albanian resistance, Adem Demacin, on the 22nd anniversary of taking office of the KLA political representative.
Kurti, through a Facebook status, has said that Ademi Demac has given an international name to the KLA, while calling it an old idealist who has spent three decades in the prisons of the invaders of his nation.
This is Kurt's full status:
22 years ago, Ademi Demac took office as KLA political representative.
The ancient idealist, who had spent three decades in the prisons of his nation's invaders, joined the new idealists who had begun the armed struggle for liberation. The ideal was the same, the union of Albanians, not to stand above others, but to become equal to them. Not for revenge, but for justice. Not out of anger, but to pave the way for cooperation among neighboring peoples. There is no Balkan peace and development unless people recognise each other's freedom and equality.
Ademi Demac gave an international name to the KLA. He was valued with the prestigious European award Sakharov, and was the vivid political face of Serbian injustices towards Albanians. While the KLA gave Ademi Demach the substance. It was the late realisation of his past attempt.
Adem Demach worked with his soul and soul, opened his office in Pristina without being intimidated by cruel occupants, and did not stop on the worst day. He was not afraid of working in righteousness.
I will always remember Adam and the KLA as interdependent because our people's struggle for freedom, whether in prewar or in arms, during the war, is inspired by a policy that is not sold or bought, that is not dishonored or dishonored, not today or tomorrow. But working without stopping, self-sacrificing, implementing projects and promises, for our collective advancement, for justice and freedom, for development and peace.
