The Kosovo Parliament's MP from the Vetevendosje Movement ranks, Fatmire Mulhaja-Kollaka, has asked the government to give the responsibility and cover all citizens' treatments, which due to symptoms and guidelines of doctors are forced to undergo testing for COVID-19.
This, as she said, will not all citizens have the economic opportunity to be tested by COVID-19 in private labs.
Paradition, management and control of COVID-19 on Kosovo territory is mandatory without any discrimination, as well as management, inspection is offered free of charge to citizens. And if we focus on testing, they're all done in IKSHK with limited capacity, and the state has thought that to patent labs, that means all patients who have tests should be treated for free, and if these are offered free to public institutions as the government has thought about people with symptoms and go to private institutions. While most of them are on the edge of existence, they cannot cover treatment that is not offered completely even in public institutions. Therefore, we ask the state to cover it so that all citizens, with epidiomological indicators and instructions, can become free of”, she said at the Kosovo Assembly session, where the Second Review of the Bill for Prevention and Combating of COVID-19 in the territory of the Republic of Kosovo is expected.
