In 32 of the 55 regions and territories in the regions, there has been an increase of over 10 percent.
Speaking to reporters in a press conference from Copenhagen, O'S chief BSH for Europe, Dr. Hans Kloge, said most of this growth has been among the young.
Dr. Kluj said that although young people are healthier and the virus may not be as serious or threatening to their lives, as the weather gets colder, they are likely to stay more in closed environments, where it is greater to get in touch with older people and other people in poor health. He said it could cause an increase in hospital and death
But he also hinted that health authorities and other officials are more prepared than they were in February when the continent was on the verge of massive increase in cases.
“We know what to do”, Cluj said.
It called on regional governments to communicate on risks, add to tests and track contacts, and for people to follow standard public health measures. / VOA/
