Haziri tells us if they have agreement with AAK in the president's case

Democratic League of Kosovo deputy leader Lutfi Haziri has told Radio Free Europe, that so far, the ruling coalition partners have not discussed the issue of electing Kosovo president. “As long as we have this situation, we have no other political development, we have not seen reason to talk about [...]
As long as we have this situation, we have no other political development, we have not seen reason to discuss the president's issue. After all, on constitutional terms the president has his mandate. If the specialised prosecutor's claims are confirmed on the part of the case judge, then the LDK talks to partners and other political parties”, Haziri has said.
On 24 June, the Specialised Prosecutor's Office announced that on 24 April it has filed an indictment of war crimes and crimes against humanity against President Thaci, PDK Chairman Kadri Veselini, and some others whose names have not been made public. Thaci earlier stated he would resign from the presidential post if the indictment against him is confirmed.
The ruling coalition partners, the Democratic League of Kosovo and the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo have not agreed on who will be elected president after the end of President Thaci's mandate in 2021.
Kosovo's president is elected with deputies' votes in the Kosovo Assembly.
The Steering Council of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo, which is part of the ruling coalition, has discussed Wednesday the possibility of AAK Chairman Ramush Haradinaj's proposal as candidate for future president of the country.
Haradinaj himself through a status on the social network Facebook has confirmed that he may be a candidate for president.
“Trust me to be candidate for president, if this is discussed under the constitution, I consider it a top responsibility and particular honour”, Haradinaj wrote.
The Social Democrat Initiative party, which is part of the ruling coalition, has not yet commented on Haradinaj's statement.
Political expert Albert Krasniqi told Radio Free Europe that if Haradinaj does not have the support of coalition partners” he will not succeed as a candidate and let alone be elected to president”.
“This unilateral nomination of the AAK will not contribute to the relaxation of reports between coalition partners, although the post of president is not part of the coalition agreement”, Krasniqi said.
