The AAK chairman appears to be the party's candidate for the country's first.
Ramush Haradinaj has said his possible candidate for president would be a special honour.
He in a Facebook post has thanked the Steering Council for on behalf of the AAK to hold eventual talks on the reconfiguration of the government, including the president's issue.
Full Posting:
Today at the meeting with the Alliance's leading structures, we were discussed political and governing developments in the country, with particular emphasis on management of pandemic, economic recovery, Kosovo-Serbia dialogue and the success of the ruling coalition.
The Alliance stands firm in supporting effective management of pandemic, supporting business and freedom of movement of citizens, with measures proposed by health experts.
Also in dialogue with Serbia, we are for agreements that bring recognition to the exciting borders, preserving Kosovo's unitary character on February 17th.
We are against technical dialogue, which for more than a decade has gone in favour of Serbia alone, leaving Kosovo isolated.
I thank the Steering Council for their faith, for the authorization they gave me, so that on behalf of the Alliance I can hold the eventual talks on the reconfiguration of the government, including the president's case. I consider my belief to be a candidate for president, if this is discussed under the constitution, I consider it to be a top responsibility and a special honor.
