Spravato, created by Janssen, a branch of pharmaceutical giant Johnson and Johnson, has recently received the green light from FDA to America.
This decision means that doctors throughout America will now be able to describe this drug for treating patients with suicidal thoughts who have not managed to recover from the use of other antidepressants.
This spray can be valid for 2 million people throughout the United States who suffer from depression and suicide, 50,000 of whom take their lives each year.
Studies have shown that Sprawato can ease symptoms of depression within four hours. Sprout is created by ecstasy, a drug from the ketamine family, which has been used for decades as a powerful anesthetic to prepare patients for operations.
Unlike other antidepressants, Sprawato is thought to target brain chemicals responsible for his mood and emotional state.
The decision has come because in the study, conducted months earlier for the effectiveness of this drug, 42 per cent of participants have been cured of depression within a month.
This spray will be taken through the nazale streets and is much more practical compared to the ketamine, which is normally given only by intravenous roads
