Clinton headed the White House from 1993 to 2001 as president of 42nd. Earlier, he also served as governor of Arkansas and as the general prosecutor of this state.
During his mandate as president of the strongest state in the world, he influenced the adoption and realisation of UN decisions on NATO intervention in Kosovo's 1999 war.
Despite family difficulties, he never met his father because of losing his life three months before he was born and with his alcoholic stepparent, Bill was able to learn about justice and pursue his passions.
After marrying Hillary Rodham, Bill Clinton was elected governor of Arkansas in 1978, thus becoming the youngest governor in the country at the age of 32. He was re-elected to the same position in 1982.
Clinton won the presidential election on November 3, 1992, with 43 per cent of the vote against Republican George Bush and billionaire Ross Perot.
On November 5, 1996, Clinton is also re-elected to a four-year term. It was during his mandate that he made his precious contribution to Kosovo's freedom and independence.
Clinton has been in Kosovo several times and is honoured with the Golden Medal of Freedom”.
