Although the deceased changed his life in time of pandemic, at which time the Government has banned public gatherings, this was ignored during the funeral ceremony of Chief Prosecutor Selimaj, Periskopi attended.

Participants at the funeral were the chairman of Gjakova, Ardian Gjini, who first spoke.
High honours and maximum respect “has been buried today by Chief Prosecutor of the Basic Prosecutor of Gjakova Ali Selimaj, the early activist for the protection of freedom and human rights, national activities activist and holder of several leadership positions for several mandates in local power in Gjakova. At the farewell ceremony, held under the auspices of Gjakova Mayor Ardian Gjini's municipality, among other things, humanity, statesmankind and Ali Selimaj's unprecedented contribution” were quoted as saying by Djind.
Besides the mayor of this municipality, a representative from the Gjakova Foundation Prosecutor, a family member, has spoken.
Before the funeral ceremony, there are homazes in front of the coffin, and wreaths of flowers are placed.
Kosovo police have reported several times that they have intervened to disperse persons assembled in public spaces. However, the same has not happened on chief prosecutor's funeral day.
