The dismissal of Presevo Mayor Albania Arifi has failed.
By 19 votes, the Parliament couldn't fire him. He'll be the mayor for another six months.
Today's session was called after parties in Presevo have reached agreement on governance in this municipality. Sami Salihu was expected to take the place of Arifi.
Under agreement that agreement has been reached that coalition consisting of PVD- DPA and LRPDSH, Salihu would lead with this municipality.
We remember that days ago Sami Salihu resigned from the post of president of the Municipal Assembly of Presevo. He has announced his resignation from his untily post, as well as has left the coalition with the Alternative for Change, Presevo Chairman Shqirim Arifi's party.
In announcing his resignation, Salihu has cited a number of reasonings, but as the main one, he has mentioned bias in decision-making, which he claims depreciates the deal and makes it useless.
It's a move I take after a long analysis of all the activity so far in carrying out my agreement and personal commitment and the political force I represent. A co-operation or agreement can work as long as the effort and contribution of the parties is mutual and proportional”, Salihu wrote on Facebook.
