From October 6th 2019, the Democratic Party of Kosovo is in opposition. This will remain until we believe that the will of the people is to see us in government.
There are no math and interest groups here, only the will of citizens believe that up to these moments they have understood that the PDK is the only party in Kosovo that has consistently developed Kosovo.
We also acknowledge the criticism of our mistakes. We are far from perfect, but we are better at convincing than others. Not that we say it, but the results of the self-rule government and now the LDK are obvious.
Kadri Wessel as chairman The PDK, however, has taken care that the party he leads is in the service of citizens, even the opposition.
The PDK, almost a year in opposition, has proposed and postponed public policy to the benefit of citizens, more than those in power.
At Mr. Wessel, the Democratic Party of Kosovo, has shown extraordinary constructiveness, trusting deeply in democratic values that even transitions to opposition see as opportunities to do good for citizens.
During our pandemic, we were more counselors for good than for criticism. We voted the budget to prevent deepening the economic crisis, where many citizens would be out of work. Even though LVV and LDK had sneaked us out during the March budget review during the pandemic.
We offered our package for economic recovery, worth 320m euros. Money Kosovo has had. We also offered him the fulfillment and change of laws. We were more than willing to sit down to join ideas, for a better proposal for citizens.
Our proposal was rejected, since government Kurti offered a package that neither does.
We voted international agreements to secure over 300m euros for Kosovo. We still voted the agreements that some of them, the Vetevendosje Movement, had negotiated and then did not vote on just because they were in opposition.
We proposed a resolution on financial support and salary increases for health staff, for any category that is on the front line against pandemic. And we asked for the anti-David law, but the ruling parties, for the anger of the Meskine, as last time -- rejected us.
But, the PDK will be there again, and will do its job, even by the opposition.
