The masks should be maintained when one meter distance cannot be guaranteed and where there is widespread spread of the virus, the organisation said, writes The Guardian.
This is the first time WHO has given advice on wearing masks from children and comes just two weeks before school education begins.
O The BSH has also said that more data is needed regarding the role of children and teenagers in the spread of the virus.
Children under five years of age should not necessarily wear masks because of the child's security and general interest.
