The Kosovo Police and Prosecutor's Inspectorate have found that two police officials involved in clashes with two citizens in Ferizaj have not exceeded their competencies.
On August 14th, in the evening hours two Kosovo Police members, along with the inspection of the implementation of measures against COVID-19 at a shopping centre in Ferizaj, had clashed with two citizens who had not respected the measures against pandemic.
Objection Hodaj, acting chief executive in the Kosovo Police Inspectorate, has told Online Economy that they address any complaints they receive allegedly members of the Kosovo Police have exceeded their competencies.
“We, as Kosovo Police Inspectors, deal with all the cases, but the complaints where police members allegedly overstepped their obligations or mishandled or mishandled citizens in carrying out task”.
“In Ferizaj's last case we've gone to the scene we've made the necessary investigations, we've taken images from several sources, and it's been the joint assessment of the Inspectorate, but also the Prosecutor's, which in this case the use of force on the part of police officials has been correct, has been proportional, and in line with police procedures”, it is expressed.
In recent days cases of assault on police officials overseeing the implementation of measures issued by the Government, against the COVID-19 pandemic, have been recorded in several other cities, such as Peja and Lipjan.
