The statement was made after his government signed an agreement with the Anglo-Swedish company Astra Zeneca for the production of the possible codus-19 vaccine, which was conducted by Oxford University.
Researchers hope to have results in stage three by year's end.
Scott Morrison traveled as one of the most promising and advanced vaccines in the world. Morrison said he would want to make it mandatory, but it would be an exception if individual medical reasons exist that stop him.
He also added that if the vaccine is successful and production is allowed then the federal government will produce it itself and make it free for all Australian citizens, but this is unlikely to happen at least until next year.
“If this vaccine is effective and we produce it, we will distribute it and give it free to 25 million Australians.” said prime minister
For his part, the opposition Labour Party spokesman cast doubts that Australia would have production opportunities to make the vaccine itself.
