22 years from the heroic fall of Skender Hadzi Ceku

Today, 22 years are filled by the heroic fall of witness General Skender Hadzi Ceku.

Skender Ceku was born on January 1, 1955, in Sich, Pec. He moved from Switzerland in 1996 and settled in Tirana. His residence became a powerful weapon base of the Kosovo Liberation Army.

During this time, he contacts many friends of the event, who will later also be martyred, such as Ilir Konushevci, Fehmi and Jeva Ladrovci.

After the outbreak of the war in Kosovo, Skhari was authorised to engage in the realm of arms logistics and the establishment of KLA bases in Kosovo-Albania border areas.

He entered Kosovo early in the summer of 1998 along with dozens of fellow fighters, bringing a large quantity of weapons.

The Serbian forces' first attack on the village of Lodza on July 6, 1998, Skkiner found him in the KLA's Istikas. In this battle he was distinguished with courage and rare combat skills.

However, freedom fighters, Loxha, had made it an unbreakable fortification on which the enemy's attacks were repeated even more severe on July 15th.

In these attacks, against KLA positions, Skender Ceku was severely injured and despite efforts to save his life, he entered into eternity, adding glory to Kosovo and its liberation army.

Fellow fighters buried him in the Seretish village of Suhareka, while after the war the martyr's body was reinvigorated at the Witnesses' cemetery in Glodjan. To prove military, General Staff The NLA promoted him, after the fall, to the rank of Major General.

His work has been glorified in memorial monuments as well as in names of roads and institutions. Its memorial plaque has been discovered in the village of Loja, Peja, while the name of this martyr received the Central Village primary school.
