Protests organised by the KLA War Veterans Organisation (OVL) are held in Kosovo's cities today in co-operation with the Association of former Kosovo Political Prisoners.
This protest was organised after the Specialised Chamber handed the indictment to former KLA superiors Hashim Thaci and Kadri Veselini for consideration at the Special Court.
The protest motto was “in defense of the 911 Liberation War.
The chairman of the KLA War Veterans' Organisation, Hysni Gucati, has said the indictment handed over by The Hague Specialised Prosecutor to President Hashim Thaci and PDK Chairman Kadri Veselini is unacceptable.
“We have gathered all over Kosovo under exceptional conditions and circumstances to counter unfair and unilateral accusations, politically influenced by a part of the international community that are now becoming the KLA for the past 20 years orchestrated by both Serbia and its allies”, Gucati has said.
Bahtir Maxhuni, vice-chairman of OVl in Mitrovica, has requested the break-up of the Special Court.
The “Such trials have been established unilaterally against the KLA war, which denies Serbia's endless genocide and crimes.
So the Special Court has to be broken up,” Maxhuni said.
