Kosovo President Hashim Thaci will travel to The Hague on Monday as invited by the Special Prosecutor to interview him, two weeks after the Special Prosecutor's Office under the Special Court announced that it has filed a war crimes indictment against him, something first for the first time where the alleged person was brought up without interviewing himself, thus breaking all the laws and regulations of this Court, writes Metro newspaper.

But one is seeing suspicions that President Thaci may have been invited to The Hague for this indictment, thought to have something else to do with that war issue.

It is the lawyer and connoisseur of local and international justice cases, Arian Koci, who is saying it is possible that Thaci has been invited to The Hague on any other issue, other than what has been made public.

There is no charge before the prosecution is filed, to invite the suspect to report. This invitation could have two or three options; the 86 rule of procedure regulation and evidence that the judge of the preliminary procedure could order the prosecutor for some additional information; and it could be one of the tribunal's demands to question Thaci”, Koci said in Klan Kosova.

There may be reasons Thaci has been invited to declare any other criminal case, which has nothing to do with war crimes, but comes into the framework of the works that are under the competence of the Special Court”, Koci has said.

According to Koci, if the indictment has been filed without an invitation President Thaci and now the Court orders him to interview the subject again in a manner that has been contaminated and a type of “professional suicide” by the Special Prosecutor. /
