Shala: There must be cooperation LDK- PDK not to go to elections

Blerim Shala, political adviser to President Hashim Thaci, has declared consequences have been caused with the publication of the indictment proposal to Thaci by The Hague's Specialised Prosecutor.

“because the president's election sends the country to extraordinary parliamentary elections. Under normal circumstances with the Kosovo Constitution, the president expires the mandate on April 7th of next year. And no further than 30 before the mandate is due to be resolved, the new president”.

“If the president is not elected the country will go to the polls. I think that we can only speculate whether there will be an increase in the indictment or no, but that has produced political effects within Kosovo has produced”.

Therefore, there are interesting moments of co-operation between the two major traditional PDK and LDK parties to make a broad government”.

“That would produce that quality of number of deputies that could elect the new president, if the election of new president” is inevitable.

“If you want to avoid elections in April-May next year, there must be agreement with co-operation LDK- PDK. This co-operation is needed in every option, as in what is confirmed the indictment, as in what is not confirmed, as the mandate ends with the president of next April 7th”, Shala has said.
