Rukiqi: No business has the capacity to cope with the situation created either by the end of this month

Kosovo Economic Ode Chairman Berat Rukiqi has held today a media conference in which she has declared that the pandemic has profoundly affected the Kosovo economy.

He even claimed that no business has its capacity to cope with this long-standing situation, being honest even until the end of this month.

We expect that as soon as there are steps in the economic recovery. The government, including Parliament so far, has managed to meet challenges from the pandemic, and if there is no quick action meant in the case of what has to do with the economy in the next two weeks, we risk losing thousands of businesses and losing jobs. Lack of access to finance, liquidity and no Sʹe business has its capacity to afford this for longer than to be honest, this month's end. The increase in cases should be prevented by awareness, and this conference is at this point, not by the closure of businesses or by the restriction of movement”, Rukiqi said.

According to him, for all who do not respect preventative measures, there are penalties - to close businesses that do not implement preventive measures, not all.
