Political situation hinders implementation of economic recovery laws

The government has planned for eight laws to be changed in the draft law on economic recovery. But according to economic experts, these laws will hardly be realised and adopted by seeing the political situation. But according to economic experts, these laws will hardly be realised and adopted by seeing the political situation.

Former head of the Kosovo Economic Ode (OEK), Safet Gerjaliu for Online Economy, says political parties slowing down these processes involving economic recovery functions are damaging Kosovo.

Kosovo is further in the first step involving the Emergency Pack, which has not yet been completed, in the second order you see that in Kosovo reality much more is characterised by a huge political agenda than the orientation of the consequences from the pandemic, the third of which is quite disturbing that Kosovo after itself is going to face economic and social pandemic, and when all of this is added to the fact that we have no political unity and that many political parties today are more protecting the interests of political parties than certain groups in the state of<1).

“ ... is the greatest damage than by slowing these processes support any initiative that has to do or is in the function of economic recovery, whether in legal or economic terms, but political currentity and this division of parliament in Kosovo and the lack of responsibility of MPs in parliament is damaging Kosovo in many aspects, in particular in economic and social”.

I am afraid that these proposed laws will remain only political statements, but very hard to implement and approve because we have this division of the political misery in Kosovo”.

Gerjaliu, among other things, has said Kosovo has not yet made an estimate of the economic effects of pandemic, but he says that even 2021 will remain in the shadow of pandemic.

The “in the first order needs to be understood that it is not yet known until the pandemic lasts, and in this regard it is difficult to give concrete predictions. Kosovo has not yet done a cut in the negative economic effects of pandemic from the start to the present day, but will be hit by the private sector, but I fear that even 2021 will remain in the shadow of pandemic”.

While, Emrush Ujkan, executive director of the Council of European Investors in a proposal for Online Economics, has said that the alternative exploitation of some mechanisms must be opened to try and achieve economic recovery.

The “is necessary that any initiative undertaken by institutions and for economic recovery will have to be preceded by relevant legal decisions in this case to change a part of these laws is necessary that would pave the way for alternative exploitation of certain mechanisms to prove that even economic recovery occurs concretely through the forces available to our local institutions and all financial mechanisms”.

He has said that in the situation the country is in need of citizens' interest being taken into account and not politicising with the situation, EO reports.

This is a political issue and it's not supposed to be politicised to this extent because we don't have an comfort for us to create antagonism even in time of pandemic because it's really irrational, and it's very true that politics have these specifics that make the political race, and even don't vote any laws like this one of the laws in the assembly, but in the situation that we're in, it's necessary for us to keep the general social interest in the private sector too.
