Two citizens have lost their battle with Avid19 over the last 24 hours in Albania.
A 67-year-old and a 73-year-old, both from Tirana with several associate diseases, have lost their lives in the infectious hospital despite efforts of the medical staff. The Ministry of Health and Social Protection expressed its condolences to the bereaved.
During the last 24 hours, 376 tests have been conducted for suspects affected by Covid19, of which 67 positive cases have been confirmed.
The geographical distribution of cases is as follows: 34 cases in Tirana, 9 in Shkodra, 6 in Kavaja, 4 in Elbasan, from 3 cases in Kurbin, Korca, from 2 cases in Kukes, Kruje, from 1 case in Fier, Lezhe, Lushanje, Kamez.
In the last 24 hours, 45 citizens have been healed, bringing the number of cured since the beginning of the epidemic to 1637.
In our country currently there are 1108 active people with COVID19, mainly in Tirana, Shkodra, Durres.
The Ministry of Health and Social Protection once again calls on businesses, institutions to implement the safety protocols at work correctly approved by health authorities.
When possible, they allow workers to work from home to minimize contact and spread infection.
The Ministry of Health and Social Defence appeals to citizens to be cautious in implementing the established measures.
Keep your physical distance, wash your hands often, use masks or protective barriers in public environments, or wherever it is not possible to keep distance, disinfect objects, and absorb your environments.
The virus is still among us, and we can defeat it only if we change our daily behavior by respecting the rules set. Success will depend on the individual behavior of each citizen.
