Merkel: Pandemia needs global answers

German Chancellor Angela Merkel said today that the coronary pandemic can be defeated only through global co-operation and stressed her country's participation in international organs as the World Health Organization.

“We have the chance to defeat current and future pandemics only if we can find global answers to global threats”, she said in her weekly message.

Chancellor also stressed that for this very reason Germany participates in global organisations' programmes like O BSH, the International Monetary Fund (FMN) and the World Bank, reports ATS.

The message comes after the US officially announced the UN secretary-general that it would withdraw from WHO.

Merkel stressed that Germany was helping in many ways in the areas of health and research in order to eventually achieve a global and equal distribution of vaccines and medicines.
