Some 75 percent of the cases are among the workers of a cleaning company, which are foreign citizens and who had no symptoms of illness, announced the health minister, Hamad Hasan.
He also said that the source of the spread is known, but that the testing of 800 workers of the cleaning company, along with 1,000 other workers of two other companies with whom they were connected, has been needed.
The number of affected will remain high this week”, said Minister Hassan.
So far, Lebanon has registered over 2,000 people infected with the SARS-CoV-2 virus and 36 deaths from the Devov-19 disease. The first cases were marked in February.
