Research: Nearly one out of three Kosovo residents says there is Corleone

Kosovo Prime Minister Avdullah Hoti, today at the media conference, has announced that they will make reports from Infectiva to show how dangerous COVID-19 is, as 30 million Kosovars believe there is a virus. It has been performed by Pyper with an unlikely sample of reflective [...]
Such an illustration has been conducted by Pyper with an uncidental sample that has reflected interesting data on citizens' obedience to the COVID-19 virus.
“First, it is noteworthy that only 31.18% have reported that they are very concerned about the high number of cases with COVID-19 in Kosovo. A lower rate of 24.20% are on average, and 17.74% are not at all concerned about this.
At the same time, more than half of the survey participants (61.5.8%) estimate that coronavirus is overestimated, as they estimate that the virus is less dangerous than it is being portrayed in the media. On the other hand, 14.47% consider this virus more dangerous than it is being portrayed in the media. Only about 1,084 of participants estimate that the risk of the virus is as much as being portrayed in the media”, the survey said. Pyper.

Furthermore, it is important to note that out of the total number of participants, 29.03% have claimed they do not believe COVID-19 exists in Kosovo. Unlike this group, the remainder of participants have indicated that they believe in the existence of this virus, but their assessment of the number of cases with the virus is different. More precisely, 43.81% believe that the number of people infected with COVID-19 reporting in Kosovo is greater than it really is, while some believe that this number is less than actually 31.92%). Only about 104 of the participants believe that the number of cases being reported to COVID-19 is real.

However, there are various perceptions of who the coronavirus poses a danger. According to 69.51% of participants, endangered by COVID-19 are only those who have an accompanying disease, already for 6.5% at risk, persons who do not have a disease. Unlike these two groups, 16.28% estimate that coronavirus poses a danger both to those with associated diseases and to those who do not have a disease. At the same time, 7.67% consider coronavirus to pose no threat to either of these two categories.
The coronavirus poses a danger to people is highlighted by various experts, and recently the Ministry of Health has implemented various measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19. In addition, it is noteworthy that more than half of all participants who were in favour of restoring measures against COVID-19 (41.69%), more than half of them estimate that municipalities in which there are active cases with COVID-19 must be quarantined (54.34%). Among other things, some of the measures cited are the closure of businesses in which there is a large circulation of people (42.98%), the restriction of movement (41.74%), the self-acrantation of those entering Kosovo (38.84%), and the temporary suspension of air and land travel lines from high- and medium-sized countries (31.61%)”, the survey says.
