The Kosovo government has decided to have national co-ordinators for implementing the Strategy for preventing violent extremism and fighting terrorism.
Deputy Prime Minister Besnik Tahiri has argued the need for the rich co-ordinator.
Some, known as nationals, were appointed to Haradinaj Government for specific issues, but upon the arrival of Kurti Government they had been fired and their jobs had disappeared. Last week, Prime Minister Avdullah Hoti decided to appoint the co-ordinator for dialogue with Serbia, which was criticized by civil society.
Now at Hoti Government, there are co-ordinators again.
I think a matter should be stressed. We're not talking about national coordinators who were in the past government. We're not talking about a parallel structure, but a very necessary structure”, Tahiri said.
