The European Union has recommended that all countries of the Western Balkans close borders after increasing the number of corruption cases.
At least by the end of July, the opening of borders with the countries Albanians live in the Balkans is not recommended, China reports.
Journalist Bahri Cani from Germany tells of the recommendations and decisions the EU has made, mainly with Balkan countries.
“Ambassadors of European Union countries think the borders with Kosovo, Albania, Northern Macedonia, Serbia, Montenegro, but also Bosnia and Herzegovina are closed. In Brussels it is estimated that the situation has deteriorated in all of these countries, which unfortunately testify even the latest” results.
However, these are just recommendations and not orders, since member states can make different decisions.
For example, even though it was recommended by the EU that borders be opened for Serbia, Germany had made the exact opposite decision.
“Warning does not mean ban. However, if one travels to third countries where the German state is not recommended, then the German state does not take responsibility for their return, and in case of the disease, insurance may not cover the cost of health spending”.
The diaspora can travel to Balkan countries, but must be aware of the consequences they can expect.
“may happen to have problems on borders due to frequent changes and dramatic increase in the number of infections. It may be that they ask for a negative test that isn't older than 48 hours”.
But something is safe until the end of July. Citizens if they come to Kosovo when they return to Germany, Austria, Switzerland will be quarantined.
However, quarantine can be averted if citizens have negative tests that are not older than two days and that can be done, for example, in Germany, and that should also be expected until the results arise.
