Demhaya: Thaci's independent resignation enables PDK presidential or prime minister post

After publishing the indictment to President Hashim Thaci, the current ruling coalition must begin with procedures for electing the new president, but with the support of the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK).

According to Demhasey, because the country will not go to the polls, a broad coalition will be established to have a sweeping government.

“If President Thaci resigns after the establishment of the indictment, the country will remain without president, then the likelihood is that the current government coalition is certain to ask for the support of another political party to create a quorum to start procedures for the election of the new president. Because of not causing the institutional crisis which would lead the country to the election”.

Furthermore, Demhaya said that finding a choice after the president's resignation, The PDK can assume the position of president or leadership of the Government and the president's position to go to LDK.

“There are two possibilities for the PDK to propose the candidate for president and the coalition to support that candidate so that the country will not go to the elections or the other option is for the PDK to be included in the current government government even to take the leadership of the government and then the LDK to assume the position of President”, Demhasy has said.
