The deputy executive chairman of the Atlantic Council of the United States, Damon Wilson, has said the Government of Serbia and President Aleksandar Vuciq have made efforts to develop relations between Serbia and the United States, which has attracted positive attention in Washington.
In the framework of NATO's 8th Belgrade Week, organised by CEAS, Wilson spoke of relations between Serbia and the US, but also about dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina, praising that Serbia's future is blocked without agreement with Pristina, but that Kosovo's “future is worse without such an agreement “.
He praised that the agreement could unlock the potential for Serbia's future, Tanjug reports.
” At this moment, despite the challenges we face, it is time to be courageous and take risks. We must understand that Serbia's future is blocked without an agreement and that the benefits of our partnership cannot be fully realised without it. Kosovo's future is even worse without such an agreement”, Wilson said.
According to him, one of the last major strategic issues in Europe is the country the Western Balkans have in it, and stressed that Serbia and the region are part of Europe and the transatlantic community.
