President Hashim Thaci's political adviser, Blerim Shala, has said Serbia's ideal version of the final agreement is for Kosovo to join Albania.
On the Rubikon show in Klan Kosova, he indicated that with this version Serbia would not be forced to recognise Kosovo's citizenship, but would only have to re-definition Albanian-Serbian.
Serbia's ideal version is for Kosovo to join Albania. It is surprising how they have arrived in this situation where it is more acceptable for Kosovo to join Albania because in that case it is not binding to recognise the state of Kosovo”.
“Albania has recognised it and then it would be only a matter of redefining Albanian-Serbian”.
However, the Kosovo state issue is irreversible -- not only because we say it, but the United States of America, Germany, France and the European Union have said it is once and for all”.
Shala has said she thinks order is to open the papers and consider how to achieve until the moment of mutual recognition between Kosovo and Serbia.
“We know that Kosovo's delegation in September 2007 has proposed that the German-German agreement”.
A 14-point document that Moscow admitted to having no formal recognition, but not to prevent each other from membership in the international organisation”, had been prepared.
Had Serbia accepted this agreement, I am convinced that in 2008 we would enter the United Nations Organisation because Russia has been under different circumstances and there has been a principle for it that whatever is acceptable to Serbia is acceptable to Russia”.
“Well, Kostunica is the one who has recently broken the German-German agreement”.
