Belgium has not recorded cases of deaths by the new coronary over the last 24 hours, for the first time since the beginning of the pandemic in March.
The total number of victims remained at 9,787.
Belgium ranks 12th in the world for the number of victims.
With a population of 11.5 million, Belgium has the world's second highest mortality rate for 100,000 people, according to Johns Hopkins University, headquartered in the US.
However, comparisons with other countries may be somewhat deceptive, as some are believed to have not reported true figures of the infected and the victims.
On March 14th, Belgium imposed isolation measures to prevent the spread of the new coronary.
Some measures have been eased during May.
Belgium has so far recorded a total of 62,781 cases of coronarys.
