Full statement:

During my stay in Kosovo, I shared a few pleasant hours with VV Chairman Albin Kurti, where we discussed all important economic, political and regional developments.

We stopped extensively in our conversation to economic and health situations caused by COVID-19's pandemic. It is very important to co-ordinate efforts and undertake joint initiatives in terms of COVID-19, but also for the economic situation, which has led to numerous problems. With particular focus we highlighted the importance of the steps to be taken to stop the painful departure of young people, and to enable them to work and live in Albania and Kosovo.

We shared the same opinion, that an intensification of co-operation between the two countries, projects and concrete initiatives is needed, rather than ideas that remain on paper.

I assured Mr. Kurti that me and the Democratic Party of Albania, today in opposition and tomorrow in the direction of the country, will be on the side of Kosovo, and fully committed to offering any assistance, and to making every decision in its favour.

I stressed the importance of dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia, the necessity of not threatening the territorial integrity of the Republic of Kosovo and reaching an agreement that will lead to recognition, between the Republic of Kosovo and Serbia.
