Franz Allerberger, head of the Human Medicine Department within the Austrian Food Safety Agency (AGES) estimates that the rate of those infected with coronarys in countries like Kosovo and Bulgaria amounts to about 50 percent.
He does not trust official figures of Balkan states, since real figures are “around tenfold higher”, has told the Austrian weekly “Profil”.
According to AGES analysis, the number of infected people in Austria is significantly linked to those coming from Balkan states or Turkey, reports Austrian media.
About this, Allerberger has told Austrian news agency APA Monday that “the local population of Wuhan or Ischglis had this level of infection (43 per cent, according to serial tests on Ischgl)”.
According to “Complexity Science Hub” (CSH) in Vienna, Bulgaria has so far recorded about 10,400 infected, Romania 45,000, Serbia 23,700, Montenegro 2,800, Albania 4,800, North Macedonia 10,000, Bosnia 10,000 and Kosovo 7,100.
The government in Austria has issued warnings to Balkan states because of the holiday season.
