Special care is needed for the job.
And the risk for doctors increases in pandemic times.
Despite that, over 250 members of the medical staff in Ferizaj will not receive a salary at the end of August.
This is because the one-year contract between the Ferizaj municipality and the “Carias Kosova” ends at the end of July.
The manager of this project, Xhevdet Hadzidema, says that for this, they sought the understanding of some 150 doctors and nurses.
Hadzidema says Ferizaj's municipality is conducting tender procedures for the upcoming contract.
And everything, according to him, will be resolved within August.
But until then, they were forced to release some of the medical staff temporarily.
It's disturbing that fact in pandemic time. You see the principal of the Family Medical Center in Ferizaj, Nadire Imer.
But, too, Imer says they're in the medical staff's understanding.
Imer has said that in Ferizaj, there are close to 200 active cases with the Corona virus.
And their treatment is being all done by these doctors, who will work without pay in August.
Meanwhile, T7 has asked the Kosovo Ministry of Health and Government as well.
But the same has not been answered.
