Today, a group of the deputies of the Vetevendosje Movement has prosecuted the legal initiative for changing and fulfilling the General Election Law, through which it is possible for fellow countrymen to fulfill their constitutional right to vote in embassies and consulates of the Republic of Kosovo. According to the VV, the license makes up more than 1/3 [...]

According to the VV, the exile constitutes more than 1/3 of the total population in Kosovo, broadcasts the Klan Kosova.

“Role and the contribution of fellow countrymen have been and continues to be very important in economic and social and political life in Kosovo. About 700m euros per year come from the mine. Unfortunately and not because of it, the political role of the exile has been greatly reduced when it comes to their involvement in decision making”.

You can read the whole VV announcement below:

Although, formally, the possibility of participating in elections was recognized, they were virtually unable through bureaucracy and technical and administrative barriers. Failure to comply with the large number of countrymen, their political, national and economic contribution and involvement in the elections should end, offering them the opportunity to vote where they live, in embassies and consulates of the Republic of Kosovo.

With the bill proposed by V Movement MPs SEVENTION! Voters from the exile will have the opportunity to realise their constitutional right to vote in embassies and consulates of the Republic of Kosovo in countries where they live.
