Vulaj: Washington Summit Cancelation Risks US Washing Hands From Kosovo

Former leader of the National Council of Albanians in the United States, Martin Vulaj, has said that the special selector of the White House to mediate in Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, Richard Green, has been disappointed by the Kosovo side's decision not to go to Washington. In a direct US connection to the Info Magazine show in Klan Kosova, he has said this annulment of the meeting risks the United States of America giving up trying to find solutions to the problem between Kosovo and Serbia.
There's a lot of confusion in these last few streams, but it's obviously not random. Without wanting to get into speculation, but the consequences are very serious, not only for the process that we've been in the middle, but also for the threat it poses for Kosovo”.
Vulaj has indicated that he has held a conversation with Grenelli and that the latter has wanted the Kosovo side to go for talks in the US.
“Grenelli has said he has been in co-ordination with French and German national security advisers America wants to create space for economic agreements [to create a better economic climate, employ people and create conditions for entering a political phase in which Europe is involved]. Without Europe there is no integration into the European Union and other investments that are necessary”.
It shows that Grenelli has not welcomed the news that the Special Court has filed charges with President Hashim Thaci and PDK Chairman Kadri Weselini.
“Normal, which has not been well received; although they support the process of justice. This particular event in view of the nature of this news has not been well received. It was a little strange after such news that has direct consequences in Kosovo-Serbia dialogue”.
