“We are ready to negotiate, but ... there is no white flag,” said Vuciq in an interview for Reuters.
According to him, dialogue is welcome if it is a dialogue in which it would be considered what is possible and what is a compromise.
“We believe it is in the best interest of Albanians and the international community to discuss freedom of movement of capital, people and services,” explained Vuciq.
In this regard, Reuters recalls that dialogue, mediated by the EU, was suspended in 2018, when Kosovo imposed a 100% tax on Serbian goods, and that removing that trade barrier from Kosovo's new government this month paved the way for renewed dialogue.
Reuters writes that Serbia must normalise relations with Pristina before entering the EU.
Vuciq also stressed that Serbia wants balanced ties with the West, China and Russia, and that it tries to become an EU member as well as reach an agreement with Pristina.
He also stressed that Belgrade does not plan to choose between Russia a natural Slav and Orthodox ally, The EU has its main trade partner and China.
