In the updated version of the interview for the Brussels portal, Vuciq stressed that dialogue with Kosovo must continue, despite proposal-accusticate to President Hashim Thaci.
Vuciq gave the interview Friday, during his stay in Brussels, where he had meetings with EU leaders, and declined to comment on the Special Court's proposal against Thaci and Weselin.
But, the portal emphasises, Vucinic clearly said he wants to start a dialogue with EU mediation, which has been stuck for more than a year.
Politico recalls that the EU has signalled intended to re-animate dialogue in July.
“We do not want to fuel even more political or physical conflicts between Serbs and Albanians, and this is the best way to protect the security and security of Serbs in Kosovo,” said Vuciq.
He said Belgrade should continue the process of dialogue with anyone the Kosovo side chooses as its representative.
“Dialolog must continue. Otherwise, what could happen? What would be the prospect of the entire region?”, Vuciq said.
Asked whether he would meet with Thaci if he was involved in the dialogue, Vucic said it does not depend on him, but on Kosovo leaders.
