At 71 years of age, scholar and well-known writer Moikom Zeqo passed away Monday morning.
Zeqo had a serious illness for years.
After his death, Kosovo President Hashim Thaci has remembered Moikos Zeqon, saying he was a powerful supporter of the Kosovo issue, especially supporters of the Kosovo Liberation Army since the first days of its move.

With grief I received news of the death of Erudian writer Moikom Zeqo. With much knowledge from the field of literature, history and human science, Moikom Zeqo has left unmarked traces in Albanian culture.
Moikos Zeqo was a powerful supporter of the Kosovo issue, especially a supporter of the Kosovo Liberation Army since the first days of its move.
The Albanian world lost a coloss of encyclopedia thought and knowledge by its death. Moiko's most sincere condolences and all his friends.
