While the vaccine of the other team (of Oxford University) has already entered the late stages of clinical testing, Imperial researchers intend to start testing people on June 15th, writes Independent.
A further test involving 6 thousand people is scheduled for October, and if these trials succeed, then Imperial College hopes that vaccines will be distributed massively from the beginning of next year.
Professor Robin Schattock said her team's vaccine would not be ready for Christmas, but “in the first two quarters of next year if things go extremely well”. /Periscope
