Pristina International Airport “Adem Jashari” does not yet have a precise date for flying.
The return of flights from Pristina Airport will take place following a Kosovo Government decision.
That's how she told about the news. Ours is Airport spokeswoman Valentina Gara.
The race, speaking of cancelling flights of June 13th and 14th, said flights during the pandemic were not allowed to have passenger flights, except those who were repatriated and these two flights also enter.
“Flights during the pandemic, mostly, are cancelled so even these cited dates are no exception. As for restoring flights even in arriving with a traveler remains until the Kosovo government's decision to allow them”, Gara has said.
Meanwhile, two days ago, Infrastructure Minister Arba Abashi has called for the opening of Kosovo air borders to be allowed within ten days.
He has done this at a co-ordination meeting of inter-institutional action for the launch of flights to and from Pristina International Airport “Adem Jashari”.
Otherwise, Kosovo citizens, of course if they have visas, and those of other Western Balkan countries, would be able to travel to EU countries from July 1st when the European Union's external borders should be opened.
This proposal for member states for the opening of borders has been granted today by the European Commission, thus confirming that restrictions on EU entry, set by 15 June, will continue for Western Balkan countries even two weeks but will have to be lifted by 1 July.
Pristina airport was closed in March.
