Kosovo police have provided additional details about today's tragic event in Milosevo, where two children lost their lives while bathing in an artificial lake
This is the full announcement of the Kosovo Police:
Today, 16,06,2020, around 1500 Kosovo Police have reported that in the village of Milosevo in the municipality of Obiliki, in a watery area, in the form of a small artificial lake, with several feet deep, three children (were suspected to have gone to wash), and two of those -- nine and eleven years old -- have failed to leave the water.
The third child has fled and sought help from the nearest citizens. And the police have immediately appeared at the scene together with the medical team. A citizen has managed to get a child out of the water. Citizens and medical team have offered first aid to the child, but based on the doctor's findings the body was without signs of life.
The KSF's search-safe team has also been invited to the scene. They, after a search, have managed to find the other body at around 17:10, which also based on the findings of local medical teams that were on the scene was without signs of life. Instead, the prosecutor and the mayor of the Obilics municipality have emerged.
The relevant police units, including police investigators and crime-technika, have made the site's inspection. Based on the prosecutor's decision, the two lifeless bodies are sent to the Law Medicine Institute for Obligation, and the case is initiated as an investigation into death. The case will be completed by police investigators with statements, relevant evidence and report from the IML.
